Not every craft project works out spectacularly. Failure is always a risk. That’s half the fun of crafting, I suppose.
Leslie and I made attempted to make fizzy bath bombs the other night. We used this recipe that I found god knows where, but we played with it a bit. Ingredients:
- citric acid (Amazon Prime)
- baking soda
- corn starch
- sugar
- shea butter
- almond oil
- essential oils
The trick is to spritz the powder with water just until it sticks together and not until the fizziness starts to activate. Thought we did a pretty good job getting them into the molds:
But not so much, as we discovered when we tried to “pop” them out:
A few survived (see top). They look like relics from Pompei. But they smell good! Oh well. You can’t win every Craft Wars battle. Onward and upward.
