The other day I heard a snippet of a great interview on NPR with author Barbara Ehrenreich. She wrote a book called Bright-Sided which basically spits in the face of so-called Positive Thinkers. While it sounds cynical, I actually think the point of view of this book is right on target with Buddhist philosophy and the power of REALISTIC thinking, which, much to the chagrin of so many of my friends, has always been my very own M.O.
So, in a moment of self-serving indulgence, I wrote an examiner.com article lauding Ehrenreich and her articulate point of view. Read on.
(Or, blow me off and go straight to the transcript of the interview on NPR.)
