A few weeks ago I was flipping through my new copy of Bon Appetit (thanks, David) and something caught my eye: the 2013 Food Lover’s Cleanse. I’m not a fan of cleanses. Tried ’em all. Don’t believe in ’em. My eating method of choice is 4-5 small meals a day with a good balance of protein (for energy) and veggies and fruits (for nutrients). It works for me. And it so happened that the Bon Appetit Food Lover’s “Cleanse” was just such an eating plan. Not really a cleanse by any stretch of the imagination, this regimen was really just an excuse to cook a lot, try some new recipes, take lots of pretty pictures of food for my next e-book, and obsess about an ambitious creative project for two weeks. Et voila:
(Click through any of the pictures for the recipes on BonAppetit.com.)
Takeaways:
- I feel great!
- I don’t need coffee (as long as I have tea, that is).
- Feeling really inspired to write my next e-book.
- It is ridiculous I am not a housewife.
- Once again, that $80,000 art photography/ceramics degree really came in handy!
Point number five made me spit out my oatmeal this morning :-)))
