Dreamboarding

September 30th, 2009

I have a few really girlie secret favorite things I like to do, among them, watching period romance movies (example: Bright Star, so good, saw it on Sunday, by myself, like a dork), reading Us Weekly, spending money at Anthropologie (this one is mostly only theoretical), and Dreamboarding.

Dreamboarding, in case you haven’t tried it, is basically making a big fat hippie collage out of magazine scraps and whatnot, to help materialize your hopes and dreams via manifestation.

(That’s right. I live in California.)

This is about what I got out of my $80,000 art school education. But still, I think this particular one, which I crafted last night, is quite lovely.

It’s a dream picture of my future writing desk. As you can see, there is a beautiful Siberian sky outside, but it’s nice and cozy in my office. I have millions of brilliant books (most of which I wrote), always fresh cut flowers on the desk, and my two kitties, Buda (on the left) and Luka (on the right). Trust me, it looks exactly like them. Thank you, National Geographic.
